16th of August 2024, the first house competition of the year was held.

​The houses had to compete against each other in a handball competition. 



​Round #1 -It was Saxons vs Romans with a very close start, with very loud cheers from everyone, but especially from Saxons.

Green team were pushing hard but they had to push harder to beat the Romans.

Saxons kept trying to score but the Roman goalie kept blocking them.

In the meantime, the Blue team was unstoppable.

They kept scoring and scoring and scoring until they won. The Green team were devastated, but they didn’t quit there. 



Round #2 -Normans vs Viking, strait off to a great start!

The Vikings were confident but the Red team had skill. Normans were probably cheering the most, maybe even more than the Saxons!

But then out of nowhere the Yellow team scored!!!!

They were so happy, until the Normans scored twice in a row.

​The Vikings weren’t ready to give up, but the Red team was too strong for them.

Final score, Normans 2 - Vikings 1. 



Round #3 -Saxons vs Normans were both very good but one team was playing better, and that was the Saxons.

Green team were on fire; they kept scoring until they tied up with Normans 4 to 4.

The Saxons were not going to give up as was said about them in Round 1.

So Saxons won with a score of 8 to 4.



Round #4 -Vikings vs Romans, obviously all of you think Romans are better.

You are probably right…but this round ended differently than any other one of them.

The Blue team was scoring but so was the Yellow. And everyone hates a tie, right?

Well that’s exactly how it ended, with a tie of 2 to 2.



Round #5 -Saxons vs Vikings. It was a very competitive game.

But unfortunately it was a bad game for the Vikings.

On the bright side, it was a great game for the Saxons. They Vikings scored first!!

But then the Saxons got very determinated.

That made them play soooo well that they won 5-1. 



Round #6 The last round was Romans vs Normans and it was a very exiting experience for everyone.

Because Everyone assumed that the Red team would lose against the Blue team.

But they were all wrong.

Normans scored 3 points in a row…well so did Romans except they managed an astonishing 5 in a row!

Finally, the Normans scored and tied it up 5-5. Why does it always have to end in a tie??!!
