Ingredients: 2/3 cup Vegetable oil 1 1/2 cups of sugar (any kind) 1 1/4 cups of all purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt ( not really needed as there is no difference in taste ) 1 1/3 cups of bittersweet chocolate chips but can also be fine chopped baking chocolate 1 cup of milk ( any kind and can be added more of if the dough is to solid ) 3/4 cups processed cocoa powder (any kind) 4 large eggs or six small 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Frosting: 1 1/3 cup of semisweet chocolate chips but can also be fine chopped baking chocolate 1/3 cup of heavy cream 8 tablespoons unsalted butter To make the cake: 1. Adjust the oven rack to middle position and heat the oven to 325 degrees fair and high or 164 celsius. put vegetable oil into a pan and use a piece of paper to grease the sides of a pan ( size does not matter that much as long as you have enough to fill the pan with dough in one go). 2. In a medium sized bowl whisk together sugar, flour and baking soda ( and if you want salt but again that is optional ) 3. In a medium sized pot combine chocolate, milk and cocoa . Place the saucepan over low heat and cook, whisking often until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth ( i had it on for about 4 - 5 minutes on the stove) 4. Turn off the heat. Slide the pot to a cool burner and let the mixture cool for about 5 - 7 minutes. 5. Add oil, eggs and vanilla extract to the pot with the chocolate mixture in it and whisk it till it is smooth. 6. Add the flour mixture and whisk until smooth making sure to scrape the corners of the saucepan aka pot 7. Use a rubber spatula to scrape the batter into the greased baking pan and smooth the top ( depending on your age you can ask a parent or responsible one to do this for you) 8. Place the baking pan in the oven bake until toothpick inserted at centre comes out with few crumbs 30 to 35 minutes ( i recommend you to put it in for about 30 minutes depending on how cooked you want it, check regularly with toothpick every 10 minutes 9. Take it out of the oven WITH oven mitts on and be ready cuz it's gonna be hot . Place cake on a cooling rack ( word of advice be careful with the cake as it is fragile and will break kinda easily 10. Add frosting to the cake and it's ready to eat.
